STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE IN GOD

We believe in the one living and true God, eternally existing in perfect unity as three equally and fully divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each member of the Godhead has the same nature, attributes, and being, and is equally worthy of the same glory, honor, and obedience. (Matthew 28:19-20)

WE BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER

We believe God the Father created all things for His glory according to His own will through His Son, Jesus Christ. He sustains all things by the Word of His power and grace, exercising lordship over all creation. He is infinite in power, in knowledge, and in perfection, but He also desires a relationship with His creation. (Colossians 1:16-17; John 17:3)

WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST

He is truly God and truly man, existing for all eternity. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a life without sin, was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He now reigns as our High Priest and Mediator. (Matthew 1:22-23, John 10:30, John 12:45, John 14:10-30, John 17:5,24, Hebrews 1:3, Hebrews 4:14-15, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4)

WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

He is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. We seek to live under his control daily. (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18)

WE BELIEVE IN THE SCRIPTURES

Both Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 1:13, Psalm 12:6, 119:105 and 160)

WE BELIEVE MANKIND IS MADE IN THE SPIRITUAL IMAGE OF GOD TO BE LIKE HIM IN CHARACTER

People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although people have tremendous potential for good, they are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. This attitude separates people from God. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2)
