The Every 4 Seconds Mission: Equipping Local Gospel Leaders
The Urgency Behind Every 4 Seconds
Every four seconds, someone in India dies without knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. That urgent reality is the reason Every 4 Seconds exists.
The name is more than a statistic. It represents real people, families, and communities where many have never heard the name of Jesus. It is also a reminder that the work of sharing the Gospel cannot wait.
The Every 4 Seconds mission is to support local Christian leaders who are already sharing the Gospel, making disciples, training church planters, and establishing churches in communities across India and other parts of South Asia.
Why Every 4 Seconds Was Formed
The need is enormous, but local believers are already responding with courage and faith.
These leaders understand the languages, customs, and challenges of the communities they serve. They are able to build relationships, answer questions, pray with families, and share the Gospel in ways that are locally understood.
Many of them are working with limited resources. They do not need outsiders to give them a calling. God has already called them, and they are already doing the work. They need faithful partners who will help provide the training, travel, and support necessary to extend their reach.
Every 4 Seconds was formed to stand behind these leaders and help their ministries grow.
Training Leaders Who Train Others
The Every 4 Seconds mission is built around multiplication.
E4S helps provide funding that allows ministry network leaders to travel and conduct church-planter training. Those who receive training are equipped to become seed sowers, disciple-makers, and church planters in their own communities.
How Disciples and Churches Multiply
The work does not stop when one person hears the Gospel. A new believer is encouraged to grow in faith, become part of a local church, and eventually share Jesus with family members and neighbors.
In many cases, a new church begins in a home. As believers grow and make more disciples, that church can multiply into other homes and communities. One leader trains another, one disciple reaches another, and one church helps establish the next.
This is how the Gospel continues moving forward.
Every Number Represents a Life
According to E4S missionary partners’ 2025 reports, the Gospel was shared more than 1.6 million times. More than 147,000 people received training, over 118,000 confessed faith in Jesus, more than 45,000 were baptized, and over 17,000 churches were planted.
Each number represents a person, a family, or a community touched by the Gospel.
More Than Counting Baptisms
E4S ministry partners emphasize discipleship, not simply numbers.
When someone is baptized, that person is placed under the care of a local pastor. The pastor follows up, encourages regular participation in the church, and helps the new believer remain steadfast in following Christ.
Helping New Believers Become Faithful Disciples
Local preachers report baptisms and provide updates about the spiritual growth of new believers. Ministry leaders also meet regularly with pastors to review the work, offer encouragement, and discuss the progress of those being discipled.
The goal is not merely to count how many people respond. The goal is to help people become faithful disciples who remain connected to local churches and carry the Gospel to others.
Partnership That Reaches Multiple Ministries
Supporting Every 4 Seconds does not mean investing in only one isolated project. E4S works with multiple ministries of different sizes and in different cultural settings across India and into neighboring countries.
Strengthening Local Ministry Networks
Partnership primarily helps provide training and travel for ministry leaders and church planters. Occasionally, a specific practical need may be met, but the central strategy is to strengthen local ministry networks so they can continue making disciples and planting churches.
Helping Churches Pray with Understanding
Church partners can also receive ministry updates, prayer reports, videos, and annual impact information. These resources help congregations pray with greater understanding and see how their partnership is strengthening the work.
Help Us Stop the Clock
The need behind Every 4 Seconds is urgent, but the mission is filled with hope.
Local leaders are going. New believers are growing. Churches are multiplying. The Gospel is reaching homes and communities where it has not been heard before.
Through prayer, giving, and partnership, we can stand with those faithfully carrying the message of Jesus.
Together, we can equip more leaders, make more disciples, plant more churches, and help stop the clock.
